Seattle Seahawks vs New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIX

Huddle Up to Help Others!

Dear Wayne Elementary Families,

On Sunday, February 8th, the Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIX.

We chose to support The Ontario Food Pantry, an organization who supplies community families in need, with the following items throughout the Wayne County area. The Pantry is in need of the items listed below:

cans of soup
cans of vegetables
cans of SpaghettiOs, Beef Ravioli, Spaghetti & Meatballs
Tuna
Mac and Cheese
Cereals

Please talk with your child about how this will help out people in need. Character traits such as citizenship, responsibility, caring and compassion may be part of your conversation with them.

If you choose to participate, please send in an item to donate with your child and place in the team’s box who you think will win! Team boxes are located in the hallway. The collection will take place from Thursday, January 29th through Thursday, February 5th.

On Thursday, February 5th, we are also asking our staff and students to wear their favorite sports team apparel. This will help to add to the fun.
