Classroom Celebrations and Shared Food

Please read the following important information regarding celebrations. It is essential that we do not share snacks or celebrate with food items to ensure a healthy learning environmnet for all students. We look forward to celebrating in a  variety of ways that support our students’ needs. 

Classroom Celebration/Shared Snacks: Student birthdays are celebrated in a variety of ways here at Wayne Elementary. Students will have their birthday announced during morning announcements. Parents are welcome to reach out to their child’s teacher to set up a time to read a book to the class in honor of their child’s birthday. If parents are unable to come in, they may send a book in for the teacher to read. We ask that families do not send in anything for birthdays (food items, goody bags, birthday invitations, etc.). We also ask that families do not send or bring in food or goody bags/other items for holiday celebrations.
